Default Muffler options?

I'm in search of a new muffler. What's everyone using?

If you are looking to stay as close to stock as possible, the Ansa Muffler Part # PR1447 is pretty good. It’s a direct factory replacement and the price won’t break the bank. The sound isn’t bad at all either. A little sporty but not overkill so driving doesn’t get annoying.

Shop around as price vary greatly. I’ve seen mid 200’s all the way to 600’s.

Ive heard a few sound clips for the Ansa and they do sound good. fairly quiet. I'm considering Dansk, maybe a Magnaflow... still shopping around. fabspeed sounds good but it's only available for the turbo and mine is not a turbo...

I bought both a Dansk and a Flowmaster to try them out, but haven't gotten around to installing either yet.

I put a Borla on mine recently that I'm pretty happy with, got the whole process with some sound clips posted on this thread.

I love the dansk on my S2. Great almost 911 sounding idle and not too loud under throttle and zero raspiness! Plus looks REALLY good!

I have the Dansk exhaust as well and I like the sound. Added benefit is that the exhaust tip looks like the OEM one.

+1 for Dansk. Good looking and sounding without waking up the neighbors. Seems to be built really well too.
