Need help with disconnected & broken wires.
Hello,
I have recently acquired a 1988 Porsche 944. This car has not been taken care of at all. While I was inspecting the car, I noticed some broken wires and disconnect wires in the engine bay. I am not sure where do these wires lead to so I am posting pictures here.
I'd appreciate if some one can explain or post some pictures of how did it supposed to look like in properly maintained car.
This appears to be some type of ground wire.

This might be a connection for oxygen sensor, but I am not sure.

Thanks.

Picture one and two are embedded radio antenna leads that go into the car behind the glove box and into the antenna booster module. The antenna is embedded in the glass windshield. Pics three and four are wires that power the turbo water pump. The pump should run for a short period after turning off the ignition. the last one I think is to power the cruise control module next to them.

I don't know the turbo cars, so take this with a grain of salt, but I think that pictures 3 and 4 are, indeed, for the O2 sensor. Those SureSeal connections seem to be pretty standard for that on the 944.
The connectors in the last pictures tend to have a number of things going through them, ABS and brake sensors among them. Maybe also the cruise control on your car, but those connections are in a different place on my S2 (a big black connector and bundle above where the engine harness enters the passenger area).
Good luck

Thanks for all the replies. Just a clarification, I have a base 2.5L 944 and not a Turbo version.
So first 2 pictures show a radio antenna cable? I was worried that it might be a ground cable.
I looked up the oxygen sensor cable on the parts store and it matches the connector in pictures 3 & 4.
what type of cable /connection is usually present at the location of last two pictures.

In the last picture, that usually plugs into a big, ceramic housing that can hold 3 of those connections. That ceramic housing is then held in a yellow tube-like housing with a catch clasp on the outside. If it hasn't also been messed with, you should be able to see what I'm talking about near your brake rotors.
ETA: On post #29 you can see what things should look like, https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turb...ine-bay-2.html
Cheers
