Default Fuel hose 94411041302

Guys every year I have to buy the gas train hose 94411041302, does anyone know if you could put a copper tube instead of that hose. I'm sick of putting on a $ 100 cuff every year. I consider putting the ramp of the 944 of the year 83 that does not have a sleeve, the ramps of the series 1 are good thanks

I know some folks delete the fuel damper entirely and run the feed straight to the fuel rail.

Still, it shouldn't fail that often. Are you careful not to put too much twist on the hose when you tighten it down?

Could the gasoline shock absorber be overridden ????

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "overridden". Deleting (removing) it I would think does that. Here's an example:

Nothing would happen?

I haven't tried it, but reports are that it works fine without it.

I'm sure it's just another useless part that the engineers at Porsche wanted to incorporate in the design in order to overcomplicate the machine

I'm all ears if you've got theories. One of the reasons I haven't tried it is I don't understand what pressure waves it would be dampening, and therefore I don't know what deleterious effects I'd be looking for after deleting it.

Given its position before the fuel rail (rather than on it), it would seem to be dampening pulsing from the pump. But that's going to be dampened by the flex hose going from the chassis to the damper. If it's trying to damp a reflection wave from the injectors opening, then it seems like it should be on the rail....

There's a warning here: https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...l-adapter.html about the injector retaining clips being hard to get for the 83's, so you'll want to make sure it comes with them.

You can delete it.. it’s more common on track cars.. the “ pulses” don’t come from the pump. The pump runs smooth. But if you think about a faucet in you kitchen or shower.. have you ever heard a “noise” or pipes bang when you shut the water off quickly? Same thing here.. injector opens... fuel flows.. then slams shut.. this is the purpose of this thing-a-ma-jig.. on track cars where you are predominately running WOT. Not needed so much. More on the street but you can get away without it.. but the fuel pressure behind the injector will spike when it closes at a lower duty cycle..
