944 DME upgrade
Has anyone tried to upgrade their 85.5 944 DME chip? I recently took mine apart only to find out the number on the ECU was 0261200058 as opposed to 0261200077. Everywhare I look to get a chip it says 85.5-87 ECU #0261200077. But mine is definitely an 85.5 and the ECU number does not match... I cannot imagine these #s will work interchangebly but I dont know. Any help at all would be greatley appriciated.

Burning Brakes
Bosch # 0 261 200 058 and 0 261 200 077 are DMEs listed for '85.5 thru '87 for both 944 and 924S models
www.frwilk.com has a lot of info on the DME, but I don't know if these p/n are discussed. email him at PowerPROM@frwilk.com and see what he says
