944S - Vs - S2 Gearbox Ratios different?

I pretty much just deal with Turbos so when it comes to S2 stuff and 944S I am clueless... are the ratios Different between these boxes? Reason I ask is that I have a 944s trans laying in the woods and I know someone who needs a trans for an S2... Thanks!

the 1-5 should be the same but the R/P is a little off - S is 3.889 and S2 is 3.875. S2 supposed to be stronger as the pinion is bigger.

Oh Cool well he has nothing to loose then if I give him the box, even if he gets a year out of it and Grenades it... LOL

s vs s2 gearbox

S and s2 have identical 1-4 ratios. As V2 noted the final drive is slightly different. 5th on s2 is slightly longer than S box. S box 5th is same as NA short 5th. S2 box 5th is about 1/2 way between short and long 5th on NA box. Ring and pinion on S box is same as the S2 and Turbo boxes.
