Lots of Info out there obviously, but, i cant seem to find hardly anything on LS swaps into auto cars, basically just need to know if the normal C5 Bellhousing hooked to transmission would work, or if theres a sepcific fix. entire c5 transmission? just looking for any info you guys can get me. thanks in advance

I don't want a c6, I want an LS swapped 944. If I wanted a c6 I would go buy it.

the 944 converter is at the back of the car in the transmission, driven by the back of the driveshaft.
so at the engine end you hook up everything the same as you would on a manual LS swap.
you could use an LS automatic flex plate but i doubt anyone makes a connector for the flex plate to 944 driveshaft.
however you can use a (used but good) LS clutch kit, just without any hydraulics, to connect your engine to the driveshaft.
basically the LS clutch setup is working as a giant adapter between LS crankshaft and 944 driveshaft...permanently engaged.
the 944's torque tube arrangement makes that possible.
