Consol Switches

The center consol has four switch locations, only two are used on my 944 they are 1-Passenger side mirror adjust & 2-Rear window wiper.
What are/were the other 2 locations used for ?

Mine has the mirror switch, an auto-locking switch and a sunroof switch. I do not have a rear wiper, so I think that it is blank.
