Default Here's my story....

Back in Nov 2011, sold my 996 c4s, then almost pulled a trigger to purchase GTS w/ a factory aero kit. It was a beautiful car, indeed. But w/ a intro of 991 around the corner, couldn't quite make up my mind. Then around Thx giving, purchased the 05 360 AND a new M3 all within the same week. Talk about spending $s, ugh. Told myself I am done w/ car purchases for a while...

During 2 months of owning 360, it broken down 2 times while traveling, the car had less than 6k miles. Needless to say, it was a nerve wrecking experience for the first time Ferrari owner. My wife says, sell the car, sell the car ! So, I did....

2 days ago, went to the p-car launch party at a local dealership, and what can I say, fell in love w/ 991. So, pulled the trigger last nightgot some discount, but not much. The car has decent/necessary options - sport plus, sport exhaust, premium wheels..etc, not much to brag about.

I think I am really done for car shopping for a while, here are some pictures.

I got the car from SoCal.

As a side note, I did purchase the extended warranty (platinum, transferable), 75k miles, 7 years. Paid $2,400. Does the cost sound reasonable ? Also, I do my own maintenance, talked to the mechanic when I was at the launch party and I swear that he told me that everything's accessible from below...well, based on few threads I came across, guess not. 993 oil change's been not so bad......

That's a very cool car. Congrats & welcome to the 991 club. What are you going to do with the M3?

Beautiful choice !!! My son keeps asking me why I didn't buy a used Ferrari or Lambo whcih has you know only costs a bit more than the 991S and I keep telling him I want a car I can drive and that is reliable... your story confirms I made the right choice !!!

Congrats and I love the color combo !!

That was my reasoning exactly. My build is loaded with every performance option, full natural leather, Burmester, and PCCBs. People always ask why I spent so much, but compared to the Gallardos and 430s I was looking at, it's a bargain and I can enjoy it every single day with a full warranty to top it all off. I don't need the "character" of a car I can't count on.

Hmm, no glaring issues, not that I can tell. My wife didn't notice anything particular either.

Glare issue can be resolved with a 50% tint on the winsdhield. Nice complement to 30% on side and rear windows. have luxor on both my Panamera and 991 and did the tint right after delivery. A must for Florida.
