That last pic of the red prototype reminds me of this:

A grainy snapshot of an elusive, impressive and mysterious form not previously seen by the public.

Number 1 and that other guy's blue car made it into ConceptCarz.com

If you dig around in their 928 area a number of familiar RL 928s are pictured.

Finally done hibernatiing! What a great car, great stewardship as well.
I noticed what looked like correct vintage Pirelli P7s, and in my talks with Pirelli they haven't started making the 16" sizes for 928s yet. Can you share how you got yours?
All the best,
William

Mine are vintage, i've been buying them for years.. one here and there on ebay, craigslist, etc. I even found an NOS one once. I only buy ones with good tread, but they're all hard as rocks.

As someone said . "it takes a special kind of crazy"

Always had a place in my heart for the early 928. Reading about yours brings me back.
Thank you for that and enjoy the summer with this beauty.

Amen! I was afraid that was the tire answer, at this point I am too smitten with spirited driving to have the proper option tires to show. One day soon I hope.
I look forward to tipping a few back with you someday!

So I haven't read the whole thread, I do recall the original road trip and recovery. I recall some inquiries to Porsche.
Just wondering...what would come back and whether there would be response to a request for one of their "COAs", if that wasn't already done.
