Hmmm..good point. Silicone spray, something to think about.
What mean you by this 'Newer car' thing?
My newest is my DD, 1999 Explorer 5.0L. Granted, it uses coil packs, but it still has plug wires. The other vehicles in my stable, positively archaic.![hiha](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/roflmao.gif)
Thanks for the ideas!

It involves some amazing advances in technology.
Admittedly, the "flying car" concept is still a ways off.
But if you get a car where the model year starts with a "2", you can get some pretty nifty stuff.
I tried it a couple years ago.
While I'm not totally convinced, there's some advantages to it.

Eh...I'll pass. My 1999 Explorer is bad enough. Everything is CAN-BUS. I can't troubleshoot the inop rear wiper because I can't trace the signal through the GEM.
I'm too cheap to pony up $1000 on ebay for a used Rotunda New Generation Star Tester for it.
That's part of why I like my 928. Its all electric.
To the OP, so very sorry for derailing your thread.
Question to those who question rejuvenating an old ground cable: I bought a new Porsche ground cable. How do I keep it from corroding?
Thanks!
