differential fluids for a 5 spd GTS
Need help with some clarification on the fluids that need to be replaced on the differential for a 1995 5 speed.
From what I've read here, the brake fluid of the PSD system has to be flushed also from the differential. Is there another fluid that has to be flushed for the differential, if so where on the differential? This is different from the manual transmission fluid that should also be flushed?
Many thanks in advance!!!

A '95 5-speed has a G28.57 transmission, has 4.8 quarts of 75W90 gear oil in it. It'll also have a PSD unit that is actuated by a hydraulic pump that actuates a slave cylinder. The slave cylinder needs to be bled when changing the brake fluid in the PSD system, but the PSD hydraulic circuit is completely outside the transmission case.
The slave cylinder for the PSD is mounted on the top rear right side of the transmission case, above the right axle flange. Note that the hardline to the slave is removed in this pic:

The differential and the transmission share the same fluid...75/90 gear oil. Two drain plugs, front and rear, one fill plug, rear
You ask 10 people what brand gear oil works best and you will get 11 different answers...especially if you ask here.

A little off topic, but may we get some pics of this '95 5-speed? Pretty please??!! 😊
