Thanks for the comment, I've fixed the statement, you must be an English teacher, Don't drink .I thought it was called a stick shift, those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

It is often called a stick shift, but that usually refers to the type of transmission. The item that is used to change the gears in a stick shift transmission would logically be called the shift stick.

P.S. I think it needs a lot more fixing than just that.
