Got the Stop Lamp error code tonight. Checked my lights and the RH brake light is out. How do I get to the bulb? Do I have to remove the entire bumber and lens, or can I get to it from the inside of the trunk?
Thanks

Um, your going to need Porsche Special tool 0928 4567. It's about 200 dollars, and is only avalibe in Germany. With this you'll pop the rear bumber off.
Then your going to need an impact wrench to unbolt the lights.
From there you'll need to replace the light. To do so, use Porsche Specail tool 0928 4567-03. 20 bucks.
The instalation is the reverse of the above.
No really. I'm not kidding!![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Open your hatch.
Get the tool compartment door thingie out of your way.
Inside there is a bass looking nut. Unscrew it.
Pull the light frame out of the bumper.
Replace bulb.
Do the reverse to reinstall.
Good luck! It's REALLY sweet. You need exactly NO tools!

While we are on the topic of taillights what is the corrcet bulb for the tail lights, brake lights, reverse and flashers. I keep getting a brake light failure but the bulb might be too small and reads as a failure.

I replaced all the bulbs in the rear on my 1988 928 with LED and now having lots of weird thing happening.
They are much brighter and I like that which was the purpose of the upgrade.
However, the turn signals no longer work nor does the emergency flasher.
What to do?

Turn on the blinkers, observe where the light is blinking.
It's that one.
But seriously, the bulb is so buried in this location, a normal bulb is far superior to lighting up the entire cavity..and seen better, than LED and the relay issues it creates.
That and the third brake light should remain 'normal'.

I turned on the blinkers and no lights came on.
I am going to replace the bulbs wiith new "old fashion" ones.
I notice that the price has gone up 10x. The clerk said that was because they now sell so few.
