Been playing a little off and on...I got her to turn over and she ran for app 30 seconds, very poorly, but she ran....gas leaking out from everywhere.
Leak on cold start line on top of FD, leak from pump hose, leak from hose feeding accumulator, and the biggie.....leak from bottom of tank, where someone has epoxied...
I am in the process of replacing the fuel lines, the FD leak won't be a problem to fix, replacing fuel filter, old one had gooey fuel in it...started to remove the good gas tank from the 84 parts car, but it got too darn hot to continue...pretty sure this one will run well once the fuel system is sorted.

Use the 84 tank, cradle, cover and fuel pump bracket. Retain everything else from the 79. Nice to have parts cars!

I am sure it is old stock. Via the internet, no one had it except this parts place in Sweden and I got their last one. Still has that new rubber smell, and looks a little dusty, not bad, but the tag is faded. It is still quite flexible. It goes from the fuel filter to the hardline in the wheel well, so I will install the new piece and salvage the ends off the old one and make a spare.

Sheer dumb luck.....every web site said NLA....then found this one about 3 pages in the google search....said in stock, $23, put it in my cart, and it said 11$ shipping. And they accepted pay pal.....paid. A couple hours later, got an email it shipped. Slept on it, and decided that I should buy a couple more at that price, considering I got 3 of these beasties....went back to website to order, and it said out of stock.....I was wondering if it would show up....wonder if I got the last new one on the planet.....
Haven't done anything with the car, other than collect parts.....with what I do for a living, the heat sucks me dry, when I get home, I can't bear to step outside....
My shop is air conditioned, but the bays are full, so this newbie is on the patio ( the wife is none too happy about it,) I have to get the fuel tank off the parts car, clean it, transfer to this car, install the pump, new hoses, fuel filter, replace the lines in the rear fender, and do the under hood rubbers, then fix the leak on the FD.....then try once again to fire her up....I need some lower humidity and temperatures tho'....I really need to figure out what is going on with my 82....if I can get it to run again, I'll drive it out of the shop and push her into my basement so I can start on the interior....then put this one in the shop.....too many irons in the fire.....
