Been doing a lot of little stuff...I continue to add to the stereo system, and decided to go with a different alpine than I had previously...like the look of this one a bit more...

Ron that dash and pod is amazing work. You have a second calling I think! How well do you think it'll hold up over time?

I am hoping they hold up for years. My only baseline I have is that bondo and bondo-glass are used on car bodies that take more of a beating than this dash ever will, and, if done properly, seems to keep holding up, so fingers are crossed!
I have been sick the last week, and had almost no energy. I did muster a little today and get my power distribution block mounted and wired, as well as the ground block. I cleaned the passenger floorboard, which now has just speaker wires and antennae cable laying on it.
I then moved over to the drivers side, grinding out the pin and removing the ignition key cylinder which is bad, and severely worn out. Did the same to the parts car, who has a perfect key cylinder. Only drawback is now I will have (3) keys for this car...
not too far from installing the dash back in now!
Power feed for amp, stereo, HD module, and Bluetooth Module. Each item has its own inline fuse.
Master ground block. It is fed from (2) different chassis ground points. I will tie all audio grounds here.
Overview
Worn boss in 79 key cylinder
Not worn boss, key cylinder from 84 parts car

Finally had some time to mess with the euro a little bit. Replaced the ignition cylinder and now have her starting with a key instead of a screwdriver. Found that the passenger defroster vent was warped, replaced with a good one from my 84 parts car. Then got her up on the lift. Found many issues:
power steering rack is leaking badly
power steering hoses are leaking
AC hoses have been spliced- no bueno
fluid dripping from clutch slave and bell housing
exhaust pipe is broken
pumpkin has a crack in it
annnnd, who knows what else?
I will continue with the interior for now, then move to mechanicals.

Well, was going to start reassembly of the interior, starting with the dash, but something told me to test all the vacuum pods. Found that (3) would not hold vacuum. Replaced one. Need to find a couple more....always delays...sheesh

Been a while. No major work done as of late. Repaired/replaced all effed up vacuum pods. Last thing left before interior reassembly is refurb/repair the sunroof.
Also found a nasty little fuel leak in the rear…

Burning Brakes
that might be a fuel accumulator issue. Had one in my 79 recently and replaced the fuel accumulator and it solved the issue. My gas was coming from just in front of the rear wheel.
