How to remove windshield wiper motor
1991 S4. I am trying to remove the wiper motor and am stuck.
I have removed the 3 M6x12 screws that hold the gear unit to the frame, and have removed the locknut that attaches the crank to the motor shaft, but the motor assembly will not break free of the crank arm. I have put some PB blaster on it - are there any tricks I am missing?
Thanks

You will need a puller, or a hammer and nut. Mark the position of the crank arm relative to the shaft. The shaft and arm use a tapered splined fit.
Either use a puller to pull the crank arm off, or:
Thread a nut most of the way onto the shaft. Support the underside of the crank arm with a wrench or something. You want the hammer blows to drive the shaft out of the arm. If you don't support the arm, the hammer blows will push the shaft into the motor case. Meaning where the force goes.
It should only take a few hits from the hammer.
This is how I got mine apart last week.
Good Luck!

Remove the arm first by prying it up with a long screwdriver on a fulcrum point after taking the top nut off.
Then unscrew the large metal clamp that goes around the motor itself and slide it off.
Disconnect the harness and it pulls right out.
