They will need rebuilt, too much time and elements...one cut in the leather thats odd, still in "shape" but will need new foam and covers.

It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood. I have spent the evening going over the 82 for the trip to SITM and it reminded me of where I was one year ago. No clutch, waiting on parts, and then having to order more parts just to roll in on 6 cylinders at midnight on Friday night.
I just took her for a test drive after changing the oil and aligning the shifter. Those that have followed this story from the beginning might remember a very brief attempt to align it 16-18 months ago when I first got it. It turned out that since I was the only one driving it that it was pretty easy to just get used to the effort for R and 1st and forget about it.
The wife will be driving this one over for the weekend to Banner Elk and I need to reduce as many potential spousal issues as I can. She runs like a champ and my wife likes to pretend she is Mario Andretti. Watch out NCPD.
Tomorrow night is getting the 79 ready to go.
Pretty pumped to see everyone and glad to hear that attendance is high. It may be damp for the drive there and back but Saturday is supposed to be very nice.

Good news there buddy....I’d like to say my 82 is ready, but I’m not so sure.....she seems to be running good. Oil pressure pegs at 5, and intermittently works....voltmeter does not work (digital in rear works fine tho), fuel gauge is 1/4 tank off (full at 3/4).....but worst of all...AC has leaked down....crap...might have to just juice her Friday morning and hope she makes it through the weekend....
anyway...see ya soon! Maybe you’ll make birthday Mexican Friday night?

Save me a seat Ron. We will be there. We might just have something to help you celebrate.

Thanks for the kind words and thanks for following along on this journey. The funds that had been tied up in this car will be used for paint on the 79. Then it will be done for a while. I will probably reupholster the rear seats and return it to stockish at some point. Probably right before selling it. Hopefully after many more years of enjoying it.
