Looks great! Really like the colour too. Is that a can can red interior or seat covers??

Welcome to the forum. You will find many great time and cost saving tips here. If you have repair or maintenance questions(and you will) someone here has "been there done that", and is more than willing to help. We hope you will be posting more.
If you have questions it is best to add your year/transmission type to your signature. Click on "UserCP"- (user control panel across the top bar) scroll down on the left and "Edit Signature" with you year, transmission type and whether it is a US or Euro version. You location is also helpful.
Note: Everyone here loves pictures. Mostly because we all love the styling of the 928, and to a lesser degree because literacy is low among this group.

Not every "Just got me a 928" thread looks like there will be a happy ending, but yours does! Very good.
Once you get settled in with your car and this forum, you're going to have a lot of fun. It's a kick to drive around in a car most people have never seen. Very satisfying that you're saving it yourself. And it's still a great car to cruise around in. I'm no mechanic, but with the help of forum members and our excellent parts suppliers, I've done well doing preventative maintenance in the winter, and driving all summer.
I think you're stepping into the 928 during a period of transition. Owners have been working on their cars to make them great drivers, perhaps with a more modern look (e.g., wheels). But there now appears to be more owners who are treating them as vintage cars where originality matters. You can still do what you want, though, within reason (no hood scoops!)
There are several gatherings of 928 owners during the year. Very helpful.
You'll get to know this guy (and others like him). Do whatever they tell you to do.

+1 on doing whatever he tells you to do for your car.
As an aside, the young lady in the picture is Mercedes Tyson. She is getting married this weekend at Spring Fling in Rockport.
Please send congratulations and best wishes to her and her beau, Miguel.
Congratulations also to her father and mother, the incomparable Roger Tyson and his better half, Zane.
