2 had a lot more oil on it but the others had oil as well. This is plug 4. I had already wiped off the plugs.

Stan, not seeing the connection between valve cover gasket and oil on the end of the spark plug.

I think Stan is thinking oil in the plug wells. Is the oil on the electrodes?

Plug wells all clean and dry. No leaks from covers up top.

Either stuck ring or leaking valve stem seals. You could try some Marvel Mystery oil to free up a stuck ring. I wasn't kidding about giving it a good driving.

I did. As earlier mentioned I double footed it till on highway. Drove about 100 miles. Runs fine when warm.

That plug looks to be fouled, you could burn it off with a propane torch or replace it, have you tried cleaning the Temp II connections?

Dave, redid the Temp II harness before the hibernation. It is pristine at present.

Did what Jim recommended. Added 32 oz. MMO to oil and let idle till at the first white line of temp. Initially it needed a little help but then held its own. Turnt it on & off and start ups did not have the asymmetric/missing kind of issue.
My fingers are crossed.
Going to get new plugs.
What is the latest recommendation on plugs these days ?
I've always used the Bosch wr7dc+.

swapping the coil wires . means to the each coil to distributor cap wire.
you have 2 coils dont let the coil wire rub on any metal or it can short,
make sure the ends are clean

for a plug to have oil on the outside of the plug, like in the picture
oil has to be leaking down the plug well from the cam cover seal.
when you unscrew it then the oil will get on the threads

If their was a significant amount of oil in the combustion chamber then you would see lots of smoke from the exhaust pipes.

check the ends Beru set has 4 coil wires ,
only two will work.

BUT the wrong ends can be removed.

put a thin screwdriver into the boot then spray some silicone into the boot then unscrew

Waiting for the new plugs, but did switch coil wires today. Same scenario present though hit or miss on occasion. What I mean is on one startup she'll run rough. Will turn off and restart and find the initial idle and running are completely smooth and normal for 5-10 minutes then suddenly will go up and down between 400-100 and when low enough will stall.

check the throttle cables for proper slack and that the TPS is clicking off for the idle circuit
