I'm facing a very strange problem wit my charging system.

I have 12V at battery lamp at dash panel, but it doesn't lit... Checked with Digital multimeter and a test lamp.

The alternator is not charging as well.

Any guess?

what was the last thing that you fixed?
are you hitting the pod for any reason?

I'm restoring this car. Just finish the engine and CIS adjustments.
Now I'm testing charging and starting systems.

does the charge lamp have continuity? if not replace it
has the alternator even been hanging from its harness? IF so then their is a good chance the exciter wire has sheared off about 4 inches up the orange sheathing,
so check continuity from 14 pin to alternator blue wire.
