Long time ago had a GMC Jimmy. It was the GMC version of the full size blazer.
It had gobs of miles on it. The last owner towed it behind their motor home.
My brother was selling Slick 50. This was when it came in an oil can and NOT the plastic bottles.
I followed the instructions and changed all but the last quart, started the engine and poured the stuff in.
While pouring it in I noticed a white substance that wasn't mixed with the oil very well despite shaking the can as directed. After about a minute the engine's idle went up from less than 1000rpm to over 3000. Directions said to drive the vehicle for 30 to 45 minutes. I had to readjust the idle down to be able to drive it and never had to adjust it back up. It ran better and got better gas mileage.
Can't help but think it cleaned a better lubricated something!
I've tried Slick 50 since they put it in the plastic bottles and it just isn't the same stuff. Did see the familiar white sludgy looking stuff AND didn't notice anything like increased idle, smoothness or better gas mileage after adding it so stopped using it.

Curious to know how many miles that Cayenne's oil had on it before changing it. Not a skeptic about oil changes increasing horsepower since new oil is cleaner, lighter than old and dense oil.

Reminds me of the friends showing me "proof" splitfire spark plugs improved their gas mileage. So...taking out plugs with 125k - 150k miles on them and replaced with new improved engine performance? No kidding.

I used to run splitfires on my 84 944....that is until one of them dropped the electrode into the cylinder. Back to Bosch after that one and only Bosch.

Looks like PCA got a new sponsor...
That dyno sheet is screwy...it doesn't illustrate any power gain as they claim, it just shows "wheel" number and "corrected" engine power based on an assumed/calculated powertrain loss.
What is also wrong with that is...their "corrected engine output number after treatment" is still almost 50hp shy of a stock-rated Cayenne GTS of that generation.

Guys, it is not an article-- it's an advertisement.
And then there is this:
Good catch on the corrected vs. nonsense readings, I was wondering why the two curves were identical just shifted...
I am disappointed in PCA, and also Liqui-Moly for their "snake oil" promotion. We're members of the former and will exercise our right to express our feelings. And for the latter, a big "red X" across their corporate face. Not a customer, never will be.
