Yes it sure does although when Vortex bought Paxton, for a while they were marketing some of their SCs as Paxton Novis and they looked a lot like the Vortex units.
I was hoping to see the more conventional Paxton planetary drive SC but that's not the case.

I think his dad, being of an age would use the word 'Paxton' as a generic term for a centrifugal SC setup. As one would use the term 'Xerox' to mean a copy, although it may not have been done on a Xerox machine.
Paxton was the early period setup for several cars in the 60s and 70s. Studebaker being one of them. McCulloch was another, but Paxton was more well known.

Ok, sorry for the delays. I had a two day track event and with that came some need for my 944 turbo track car.
The car does indeed have a Vortex super charger (so the guesses/educated discussion from everyone was correct). We got the car into the trailer (damn they are heavy cars) by pushing it up (my new trailer that's on order has a winch).
I have not had any time to dig into any of the car, it sits in my garage now waiting patiently for me to start draining all the fluids, inspecting (and likely replacing) the timing belt.
Since I am a 944 kind of guy, after replacing the oil, coolant and transmission fluid since it has sat for ~6 years. What else should I be looking at.
I will inspect the rubber parts while I am in there replacing fluids (anything in particular I should check)?
I will inspect the timing belt likely this weekend or next to see if it has cracking. Should I just assume replace it since the car has sat for ~6 years? The car was stored indoors the whole time (if it matters).

Ok thank you very much for that. I will make sure that I research how to do that (saw a thread here that looks good). I will have to see if I need different tools then I have (do my 944 timing belts so should be similar just bigger and more pieces to cover with the belt).
