Sorry to lose anyone. Give the Pine Tree a call ASAP if you're needing lodging. There are plenty of other places, though - if you need advice, let me know.

Arrangements are coming along smoothly, according to my master schedule - 61 days to go.

Here's an update, with 51 days to go. The Official Attendance Prediction algorithm has been stable, predicting around 36 to 40 cars (39.2 at the moment). See the list of registered and "maybes" in Post #1. That should provide plenty of entertainment, and it's a comfortable number for me, rookie organizer of this first-time event. I am grateful that my wife is happily pitching in.

Folks are staying at my compound, the Pine Tree Motel, Panther Mountain Inn, Birchwood Cottages and Fern Lodge.

The snow has melted. Site preparation is underway, including such things as building a new picnic table, painting door trim, cleaning the studio garage (oh my), and getting a new gas grill. The latter must await replacing the ISV of the F150, presently stalled out in the driveway. I hope that fixes it. Amazon is shipping various items for the event, so it needs to move. Polo shirt, poster, sticker and a surprise piece are being designed/planned.

I hope to set up a PayPal button or other advance payment scheme for the fee. $45 still sounds about right. In order to avoid the dreaded "box of undistributed shirts" in the garage, I'll need some scheme to reward the early birds. When I have this figured out, I'll send an email to those who have registered.

I also have some thinking to do on the when, where and what of tech sessions. Maybe a discussion panel.

Folks in Chestertown are excited that we'll be over-running their small town. Note, however, that those driving black cars must behave.

Owning a 928 has led me to mechanical skills; any other vehicle is simple in comparison. Seemingly not the right "starter" car for this education but together with this forum, it actually is. I did a little research, made an educated guess about the problem, took the electronic throttle body off the truck (didn't know a 2005 model was that sophisticated - fly-by-wire, no separate ISV), cleaned it, and performed the idle recalibration routine. Glorious victory!

The 928 has changed my life. Thanks, everyone. I'll go get that grill now.

41 days out. I'm doing well, keeping up with my elaborate preparation schedule. Yesterday, I met with a guy about new gravel on the driveway - I don't want you guys driving through puddles. Today, I've put a fee payment system on the website, http://camp928.com. Yeah, it's those hideous yellow Paypal buttons, but you don't need to sign in with Paypal or have an account.

Those who have registered can just go to the Payments page. If you have not registered, go to the Registration page first.

You'll greatly reduce my anxiety by being registered and paid up before May 27, when I have to place the order for the shirts. The fees after that will be lower, but no shirt is included. I'll try to have shirts for everyone, but it will require a good guess and putting aside the fear of a big box of leftover shirts.

If you'd rather mail a check, go ahead (address is on website). Or pay when you get here. It's all good, so long as you come.

Hope this works.

Anyone know how to get a hold of Alex VanD? I messaged him and he asked me to call him, but gave me no number. Please message me if you can help. I don't think he is on the site much.
