Removed my AC compressor today for a little R&R. When I removed it the power wire was broken and I could nt find the other end. This comes to my question. How and we're should the power wire be routed.
After reading Dwaynes article I find that pine 9 on the 14 pine connection would be a good place to hook a new wire. Any help would be appreciated.
My source for wiring info

The wire fires up the solenoid that operates the a/c clutch.
The cable runs from the relay via the ice detector and the low pressure switch and then from terminal 9 of the 14 pin connector to the a/c clutch.
Cool, So I may just have to run anew wire from the 14 pin connector. Do you know how the wire was routed? Does it just hang out or does it follow a loom?

Apologies- your model is a 80, I thought it was an 88. That being said the wiring looks very similar but if I read the diagram correctly, after leaving the 14 pin connector [at pin 9] in the harness the connection to the a/c should leave the loom just above the a/c compressor. I note on the wiring diagram the cable appears to split into 2 after leaving the 14 pin connector, one lead going to the a/c clutch and the other to what it calls the supplementary air valve [whatever that is].
Doubtless someone with more familiarity of your MY will chime in.
The " supplementary air valve " hangs from the cross brace and has two wires connecting it, also a vacuum hose/line that connects to the front and rear of the AAV, ie Auxilliary Air Valve, via a "T" piece connector, it's function is to increase rev's when air-con is switched on.

Thank you for all your help. I found the location of the wire and will be reroutine the wire.
