Default Sunroof components help

At a standstill with other interior components so moving my attention to the sunroof temporarily.

My sunroof was not sealing correctly and was moving very slowly. Attempted adjustments didn't help so I tore everything out to get a good cleaning and maintenance.

On one side I'm missing a screw on this piece.

Also, what makes the rear "pop up" to form the seal. Looks to be just the shape of the "guides" so to speak. Seemed that the sunroof was not coming up to the roof in the rear. Hoping a cleaning will help the situation all around.

I was unable to get your photos to load. But I have a picture you can see.
The circled part is the cable end hooks to a slider ( made up a name ).
I drew an arrow showing the pin coming off the end. It follows a track (groove in the slider) referencing the diagram I drew above.
Once the pin hits the 45-degree angle, it lifts the rear of the sunroof, causing the rear seal to go up and touch the roof.

Ill try and get a video later if I get time.

Pics added. Seems pretty simple, what affect would the missing screw have?

Missing screw looks to hold on that tab or guide. Also looks to be missing the rubber on the tab.
I have a few photos from the manual, check them out. Hope they help.

That screw tunes where that tab goes up thru the gap in the rail...its important, an its just a simple screw...go buy one. It wants a star lock washer on it too.

An...consider new guides that have the rubber but on them, they help too...but you can get by without them..most of the time.
