Thanks paalw! I assumed it was an S4 based creation, but they made it in '84! Very interesting.

As far as the 928 Rabbit/Golf, I do like the sleeper aspect of it, and respect what it is, but definitely not something I would buy, given the opportunity. When rereading my earlier comment it was a bit muddled.

the rabbit version would be fun with twin turbos.....as a sleeper

Once you start turbocharging things, you can make whatever power you want. The only question is how much of the original components are you willing to modify/swap. For a golf, you can make a fair bit of power without a V8 or chassis modificaitons:
