How much?

I've actually had a couple random strangers approach me about the car and ask if it is for sale. I've always said no, but really, of course it's for sale, for the right price. But it wouldn't be a good deal for the buyer. I've put too much of my own time and sweat equity into it. But I suppose if someone offered me enough to buy a well-sorted GT, I'd have to take it. That person would be an idiot, but hey, I don't judge

Amen! A few years ago I was putting gas in the car, when a guy nearby started asking about the car. is it for sale? --Everything-- is for sale. We are just discussing costs.

High mileage??
ONLY 230K miles??..Hell, boy, that engine is just getting broken in good.
I have an 83 Euro-s 5 speed with at least 170K miles on it. The ODO was broken when I got it, so I track 'engine hours' x 60 mph to get a rough figure for my service intervals. I drove it to the 20th FRENZY this year. Phila. area to D.C. area and back plus all the running around we did. When I got back home, I found out that the coolant tank cap was not tightened during the whole trip!! Despite spending a hour on the D.C.Beltway to cover 17 miles, and turning up to 95mph on the way home, NO overheating problems!! I overheated--Heat Exhaustion-and missed the fun Friday night.
I told my nephew I'll leave it to him in my will, but he'll have to wait another 30 years for it.
The older they get, the fewer there are, and the more they are worth. Haggerty's wants my business and has sent me a email saying that they have re-evaluated my car and raised its value from $17,500 to $26,000!!!
Here's some pix of my 928-"ZoomHilda" at FRENZY.

I'm more afraid of super low mile cars than higher mileage ones.
At least the ones driven all the time have the maintenance and work done on them....
Coolant does nasty things after sitting for a long time.....
My daily has over 300k miles on it...

Mine has 145k miles, I have been told ad infinitum by friends and people who have "classic cars" or see it, that I must stop stop telling people what I paid for it!!! few believe me anyway, (I no longer tell anyone my purchase price), I have only had her a year, and have been offered 4.5 times what I paid for it from a gentleman whom was told about it when it was parked in a local car show.
What would I sell it for? 6 figures MAY get me thinking, trouble I have, is that I really don't think I can replace her in this country.
Now you guys know it's not worth that kind of money, but I always find it amusing just what the general public think of anything "Porsche" over here.
I am getting her into as many car shows as I can, I have just been accepted into another one in April, that will have thousands of spectators, my theory being that people will start to talk about the red 928 they saw, and maybe, just maybe, buy one and keep it alive.
I think she will be worth more when I get her back to original guise, not too far away actually.

I will sell mine when:
a. The anticipation of driving it no longer thrills me.
b. I start parking it next to other cars instead of way out from everyone in the parking lot.
c. I stop taking a second look back at it after parked at whatever location I am going.
d. My son decides that he does not want it in the future.
e. It gets into a major accident.
f. I lose a timing belt for no reason.
