watching movies in a 928
You guys gotta check this out. This guy did a great job. I wonder if this could be done to a 928.

Wow, that's a very nice install, looks factory.
I'm not sold on complex video systems in cars. Listening to music is one thing, but you can't drive and watch a movie or play video games. If its going to be in the car at all, that stuff should be confined to the back seat to minimize driver distraction.

I agree, nice job but I think this stuff just goes too far sometimes. Screen for the kids in back.......great idea.......screen for the driver in front.......bad idea. Seriously, if your not going to sit in your car for hours watching movies......then what is it there for? Just a little overkill.

the mp3 part is cool. but umm i dont think i would watch a movie and drive. its possible to get one of those screens for about $200 now. its a bitch to get it all to work though. A touch screen would be a hell of alot.. If you had stand alone engine management it would be cool to display it on that though.

Thats a very nice install.
A video system in the front seat of any car isn't supposed to be used while driving, it's more of a show thing, or a bored in a parking lot thing.

And I thought the woman putting on make up while talking of the cell phone had too many distractions. Now you can send emails and play super Mario while driving down the highway

I agree on the movies in the dash, but that is exactly the kind of modification I think could be done to other parts of the 928. Namely, a different HVAC system, from another car, in the same slot as stock. Also, the pod... Could be redone, to house different guages, idiot lights, etc... It is not so terribly hard to modify a dash, if you can work with plastics, etc... The best way, is to use bondo or fiberglass, like this guy, and then cover it in leather professionally. Then it will look nice, and not chip, flake, or fade...

Rez - nice title edit
I would like it for having extra virtual switches and gauges.
Probably cheaper to have DVD audio and surround sound this way than with a deck.
Too low really for a night vision or rearview camera monitor.
