I love the newer Bosch ICON blades, but learned the hard way that the 928 needs two "A" versions.
When I first got them, the salesperson said I'd need the A for the drivers side, and the B for the passenger side. However, the B is for very curved windshields; on the 928 it left an unwiped area in the center of the wiper.
Also, I am using wipers that are one inch longer than suggested, They increase the wiped area without any adverse effects.
Time to visit Germany... drive somewhere in the countryside, where there is not much traffic. A bit of rain may prevent some people from going 150 mph, but rain has to become pretty heavy before they slow down to 100...
You should know that the way the Autobahn is constructed and maintained, water drains better than on most US freeways. If the surface is worn, they usually have speed limit signs that say "Bei Nässe" (when wet).
I use RainX on both the 928 and my electric chair, and don't have this issue.
The wiper arms were changed in mid-1986, for the S4 models. The goal was to lower the wiper when not in use, and give the driver a larger field of vision. It may have had some aerodynamic advantage as well.

Burning Brakes
just a small report ...
Went for a ride in Germany, spoiler wipers I bought behaved really good , even with combination big speed+ heavy rain(also a bit over 160 km/h )....no squeaks , no wet spots on the windshiled , no air lifting arms....all very good.
I cannot try this in Italy, cause italian highways are poorly mainainted......

I need to change rear wiper blade, I think it is the original one from 1992.
I am searching online catalogs but no one seems to have the lateral pivot to plug correctly in the rear stalk. inside the box there is no a compatible adapter, either.
SWF 116 125 comes with common adapter....
any idea?Thanks.Francesco

I bought a universal refill with 6mm cross-section and cut/snap-to-length option. Fitted to the original holder. I found them on Amazon in the US. Incidentally, I bought the same for the fronts and fitted them into the original holders. I don't generally drive in the rain, so mine generally die of old age before they wear out.
They are currently US$7 from Amazon USA
I use these an the other cars in the fleet that do see rain, with good results.
