What is this on the engine?
Can someone tell me what these 3 items are and what they connect to on my 1984 928s euro 16 valve engine. All are located on passenger side.
1st picture is what looks like a air /vacuum valve. Would like to know what it is for and where to connect.
2nd pic. is the tube, would like to know where it suppose to connect too.
3rd pic. Is not very good. There is a steel line that has been capped beneath the tube in question on 2nd pic. Again would like to know what it is and what it connects to.
Appreciate any help.

Tube should be connected to the air pump via a hose. Should be a valve on the other end of that tube that connects to a one way valve to object Air in to the heads, other end goes to the air box

I started another thread asking about some washer hoses.
It just so happens there is a hard plastic line broken right around the pressure switch. The line runs to the front and connects the the plastic bottle in front of radiator. Is this the line you are talking about?

What is your plan for getting this car through Calif smog inspection?
I think it can be done, but not very easily, maybe swapping in a complete USA engine and smog for the year, getting the BAR cert and reg, then swapping the Euro back in. Which is I think technically illegal, but way cheaper than the full epa federalization and inspection.
