Default 79 door locks and vacuum attachment

Hi ..recently did repairs on my door locks and stuck at the end. On the generic diagram it shows part 24. I put it in my door and the bottom just seems to have nothing to attach to. Does it attach the the vacuum door lock mechanism? Im talking pass side. Ive not made it to driver side yet so any help there id appreciate as well. Got everything else working im just stuck here. It attaches to #17. There are two holes on a pivot arm. Top one I believe. In the diagram it's shown closest to the front perspective.

I can't tell if they look like the Mcgard brand or not - I'm thinking not quite. In reality, the only people inconvenienced by wheel locks are the owner, as you're now experiencing.

My advice is to remove them and replace with regular lug nuts. If the car is really nice, maybe upgrade to a set of the Titanium ones from World Motorsports.

They look like they're aluminum. To get them off, find a hardened impact socket that is just a bit too small to slide on, and hammer it on, unscrew the nut, remove the mangled Lug and go onto the next one. Alternatively, a Gator Grip socket may fit on and work too if you have one or want to invest in one for removing stripped nuts in the future.

I understand it goes to that flange but once i have the top spike in the grove on 6 it doesnt reach that area and go through the top hole..it seems like the part 6 sticks in too far..is there an inbetween item?

Do you have the little white plastic retaining clip #7?

I just looked at mine. Flip the rod around. The posts face toward the outside door skin. Opposite of the parts diagram drawing.
