It looks like a set sold on EBAY in 2015 for $7500.

So is this now an auction for a set of luggage?

I didn't see a price listed.

I'll start (before it gets deleted): $100

I was bidding on that auction; at the final moment, he added a line to the description INCLUDING the car which is why it hit $7500.00. The car needed a complete restoration.

I have no problem when it comes to the suitcases...it's the garment bag that is eluding me.
I'm willing to pay 4 figures for one!

I bought my car from the original owner and she only received the two pieces. Bought the spare one from a previous Weissach owner and he also claimed the dealer never gave him a garment bag.
Lastly, the one that sold at Barrett-Jackson, only included the two suitcases.

Either Porsche had a shortage of garment bags or the thieves at the dealerships really liked them.

George, how old is that pic? I see an Atari computer with 5.25" disk drives underneath the tv on the left and a TRS-80 on the right! Or are you a collector of all things early '80s?

That's my home office. I took the pic about an hour ago.
I've had that Model III since I was 12 and still use it to call BBSs.

I do tend to like early 80s high tech stuff...anything from cars, motorcycles to games. Never really thought about as it just slowly happened over the years.
This is the game room.

My point was there is no logical rational reason that a paint job and luggage should be...... but all good glad that prices are higher after all collecting and hoarding are mental disorders !

I too, love the 80s. Had a Ms. PacMan console in my home office, and a bunch of other stuff to remind me of the era. Wish I still had the machine, but it was an original model w/ painted side graphics. Too nice to really beat up by playing.
Anyways, maybe I should look for the one w like 62 games, all in one?

But James I remember everything you say and I know the point you were making 8>)

I think of your long beard and sage advice every time I say "Relay, Relay Relay".

Compliments of the season to you and yours.

Is repeating yourself 3 mins later a mental disorder or just old age?
