It was fun to see the 928's at the dyno yesterday with all the Ford Focus's lined up. I will say that the 4 banger guys were quite interested to watch the 3 928's that were there. Andy's of course stole the show.

Keep it up Andy!

Jim Bailey and I put down some nice numbers for 20+ yo cars with a good bit over the 100K mark on the clock. I was quite happy with my baseline pre mod/stock numbers. 170.3 hp and 222.4 tq at the wheels...damn near close to factory spec when it rolled out of Porsche in 1982.

Hopefully I can post the chart here..

Wink Hi.

Thank you Andy for introducing me but I was so tired last night. I just wanted to thank you. It was a great Sunday and it was nice to see those 928's on the Dyno.

God those focuses got smoked

Have a great week everybody!

why are you dividing by .8?? or thinking of .75?????????

to get driveline losses, dividing by .85 to .86 is pretty standard.

Default nice 928.

Lagavulin I was just browsing the net and I found this picture, so I thought people here might be interested to see it. I like those fenders too. Hope it has a supercharger

The front headlights are also kind of refabricated.

I wish it would be mine

Its a nice looking car but...Id keep the stock headlights and add GTS mirrors. Thats all I'd change.

..oh...and add 19psi of boost

Default Nice Car.

I like the 928 S4 and especially the color Andy has. And that supercharger Uh I would definetly get one.

I was looking at some dyno results for different cars and usually the power starts to drop after 5500RPM. The numbers are still impresive.

350 rear wheel horsepower is a lot!

The worse thing is that I allways have to be the passanger

Andy,
Pump up the boost. You are doing a great job, the torch bearer for the 928 roots and twin screw crowd.

Just a little teaser

Thanks everyone!

Mark,
As I have stated in this post I really don't know what is fair drive train loss for a 16 year old 4 speed automatic. As I have stated I got the .80 and .75 from the link to an article that the ever knowledgable Z posted on another recent thread. I've never even seen a dyno before yesterday. I never really worked on cars before a year or so ago and sure as heck didn't design anything for them. What factor for drivetrain loss do use when dynoing your electric kits?
