Well, I was expecting a WIIIIIIIIIIDE BODY 928. Is it really wider than a GTS? what else is different about the GTE? I couldn't read that article...can we see it in better resolution?
....That 911, however, is pretty nice. ALMOST as nice as mine!!
If I'm not mistaken, didn’t 928 Specialists sell that body kit a few years ago?
I believe it was the AIR package which included the front, rear and side skirts. Maybe DR could verify...or give us some hints where to purchase the kit since they no longer stock it. Also, I think it's the same front end on the PREDATOR and on the TILO machine.

you are running win XP which auto sizes the pic so you can see the entire image, hold the mouse over the pic for a few sec then you will see a button apear in the lower left corner of the pic click on it and it will go to the correct size, but dont forget to get the glasses first
As many of you know, the GTE is in the U.S. now and remains almost exactly as Bruce owned it. The Club Sport wheels are back and shod with period correct Pirelli P7's. The raised hub steering wheel has been sourced and resides protected in a box while a true Club Sport wheel works better for me ergonomically.
I have the build sheet, Certificate of Authenticity and various letters from Porsche that document the car. It has been fun putting things together.
The materials that make up the aero kit are the same unique material that Porsche used for many of their prototype parts. I have compared them to pre-production prototype #1 to confirm this. American International Racing (AIR) and Kremer combined their efforts and Dave Roberts of 928 Specialists (duh) has confirmed that this body kit was a prototype created by AIR for Porsche then released back to AIR for re-sale, (many do not realize how many Porsche race cars were actually wearing AIR developed pieces).
This is a significant car in that it has what I consider the best bits of the S4, SE, GT and Club Sport all in one luxurious sports car. Yet - it has the great road characteristic of a Grand Tourer.
Yes, I've driven it spiritedly and it rewards the drivers senses with surprising acceleration and a soundtrack that satisfies hard core V8 enthusiasts souls... Even better motor than a GT...
As always - pictures or it did not happen...
More and fresher photos soon...
Enjoy!

Kudos for ignoring the detractors, doing the legwork, and obtaining such a cool piece!

Special thanks go to Samuel (928CS) for introducing me to the owners broker and helping me with documentation of the car, Rob Edwards for helping with authentication and providing the correct Club Sport wheels and steering wheel. drooman for this encouragement, help with maintenance, documentation expertise, and common sense approach to help me enjoy what is easily the most valuable car in my collection.
Will be sharing it with the community as much as possible...
Enjoy!
