As for my end, I'm waiting on the finished motor to return because much of what I have to do is motor connections and other ancillary motor related stuff. So I'll wait for that, plug the motor in, throw some seats in it, fill it with gas.....
Can't wait.

Yeah, both Carl and I have been tag teaming the intake guy. I expect the intake to ship to Carl really soon so he can install and test it.
It's frustrating, I know, and by my own choice I have basically lost the whole season (even of autocrosses) in this car because of this intake delay. But I am not really butthurt over it; the intake designer basically confirmed what everyone in the 928 world already knows about the stock intake: Porsche left a lot of power on the table.
With my other builds (I have 3 going on right now besides Devore), I have similar issues waiting for custom parts. They are almost always worth the wait, but the idiot savants that make them have poor time management and communications skills, yet jaw dropping manufacturing skills.
I just got my headers and turbo pipes for my 930 build. Last week. They were supposed to only take 3 weeks. That was in April.......
They are so nice that you don't even want to put them on the car. The TIG welder is clearly a master. One that cannot answer his phone or return emails.
Worth the wait? Yes.
I believe the manifold will be the same thing. This will really be the first time a non-928 or even non Porsche guy, yet a world renowned manifold designer takes a crack at making the 928 motor breathe better.
My plan is to be able to share this design in the form of offering a real product for sale at a reasonable price to the 928 community. So it will be worth the wait.

Just something for you to consider:
For the "production" version, I would definitely make it so it fits under a stock hood, no mods required..
I'm speculating that eliminating the extra 1/2" height over the stock manifold would not affect power too much, while making it more plug 'n play.

Intake Manifold is finished - shipping soon.
Here are some sneak peaks at the new Intake Manifold. I may have more pictures tomorrow. The fuel rails are .900" ID, and machined for a -8 AN fitting on each end.
There will be no fueling issues here!
My fabricator had to use more billet than he thought, and that was the reason for some of the delays. I also had him design our fuel rails and fuel rails mounts for it at the same time.
I'm told that he is shipping tomorrow. I should have it next week, can install it on Adam's motor and get over to the engine dyno to see how it does.
