Sounds like a blast, will have to add it to the "to do" list for sure. When I get the motor back I have one project ahead of the 928 which should be wrapped up mid Februrary then I could finish it up. Will probably work on both at the same time because I will be waiting for parts for both....

Sounds more like a bot, first post on a new membership, testing the waters a little. Eyes on this one for a bit.

That is Awesome! This car belonged to my kids Grandfather and I wanted to see if the car was still around. A few years back I met a Porsche fan who was telling me about DeVek and their parts. I had no idea that Bob DeVore was known like he is. This will give them a connection to him that they never had because he passed before they were born. So thank you for keeping this alive. I will pass this on to my kids.

If that is true, they have a great thread to read.

Well, the MOTOR TO END ALL MOTORS (it's a joke, Greg) is safely home, and on an engine stand. I wasn't digging the color of the valve covers in person so she got a hair color change to boot. Heck, the car is green, so why not.
I'm sure the next question will be "when is this going in the car?"
Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to that yet. When the manifold was being built, I switched gears and put some other cars ahead of it. I just finished the 3.2SS in the SC and that car is a runner, and I am trying to finish the 930 in time for Luftgekuhlt plus I have a million other things going on with the engine cases.
But it's obviously a huge priority for me, and it feels REALLY good to have the ball back in my court. All that it will take to get the Devore car running is my time and a few bits at this point. I am super excited that this car finally has an engine after all these years!
Props to Carl Fausett on this motor. It looks great, and it delivered the goods bigtime in the dyno testing.
More soon!
