Default Heavy duty rear hatch struts

Hi there,

Ive got a 928 with a fairly heavy Strosek rear spoiler on it. Are there any ''Heavy duty'' hatch struts which can handle the extra load?

I've been on a website that can provide every strut imaginable, rated by pounds, stroke, length and type of end fittings. I don't remember the URL. If I recall, a regular hatch strut is 100 lbs.

warning fitting stronger struts to the hatch could snap off the ball

I have the Jacquemond 'Strosek like' (big) rear wing - not sure if the Strosek version is heavier (I think to be much heavier it would have to be filled with foam or similar?). Anyway the stock hatch struts in new condition are quite sufficient - probably no need to risk your *****.
