after market suspension?
how many of you changed your suspension to aftermarket set up? And when you assembled the set up how many of you trimmed down the sponge bump stop on the shock piston? Also what heights are you running?(all the way down or midway )

I've got a Knoi/Eibach setup. Didn't shave the bumpers. Didn't even think about it. I'm at 155mm all around which seems to be good compromise for track and street. That's all the way down in the front.

I've got Koni/Ebachs on my '88 S4 A/T. I run 160mm all the way around. Still have room to go on all corners. I think if you start getting too much lower than what I have, you start trading in some of the compliance of the suspension.

I'm also using the internally adjustable Koni/Eibach setup. Originally I had the Konis set full soft which is good for real world street driving. Then I stiffened them up to 80% front 60% rear. Feels much better on the track and I can still live with it on the street. I have my ride height at 155mm all around. No problems scraping spoiler or undercarriage yet.
