I have been searching the archives and web sites for ideas on replacing the defroster actuator on a 88 S-4 but can't find anything pertaining to it. I have replaced the other actuators but need to do this one as well. I am wondering if there is anyone out there who can tell me how to remove it. Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

Like all of the vaccuum pots, its easier to disconnect the old plunger arm from the flap, and remove the old diaphram with arm attached from the diaphram housing. Pull apart the new vaccuum pot, and put the new diaphram/arm into the old housing, attach the new arm to the flap, and cap it back up.
