Default Upper control arm part numbers

For the later models the UCA part number according to PET is 928.341.027.31 and 028.31.

I have also seen part numbers 928.341.031.31 and 928.341032.31 used ostensibly for the same respective parts. Mch appreciate if anyone can advise whether this is a mistake or whether they may have been used to define later upgraded/replacement factory parts .

Thanks

Fred

I'm not seeing either of those P/N in PET. I see 928.341.027.37 (L) and 928.341.028.37 (R) for the S4 UCA's.

That is what I found but a friend sent me a pic of an arm with the number quoted stamped on it and it was not the earlier type arm looking at the way the ball joint was sealed up.

My presumption is that maybe Porsche changed something in the spare parts spec post production- that or maybe a change of part supplier.

Final call for input:

For the later models the UCA part number according to PET is 928.341.027.31 and 028.31.

I have also seen part numbers 928.341.031.31 and 928.341032.31 liked to the same part in a search but not in PET.

Appreciate if anyone can offer any clarity here.

I wonder if the number cast into the arm is an internal number for the arm casting? The number in PET is for the complete assembled arm so perhaps there are part numbers for each piece of the assembly.

Must take another look at my currently installed arm and check the number I can see [pretty sure it is the PET number]. Then again maybe it is the other number- never crossed my mind to check this given I know my current UCA is the original one fitted in the factory.

Mike- I never would have thought of that one-well done!
