Polyurethane.

It's what both the front & rear bumper covers are made of.

You aren't the only one to wonder this.

I recall coming across an '88 5 speed with LSD that was driven hard and put away wet and cosmetically challenged to say the least.
I thought track car, snagged it and haven't regretted it one bit.

I got the clutch out today it was a worn down disc, very thin.
TOB and pilot are racheting so they also get swapped.
Belt looks new as does the pump so a belt retension and put it together,
though there is coolant under the tensioner maybe the pump is oozing from sitting,
hose clamps are tight.
the more I fix the more I like

Here are the pictures,
I have already started ,
clutch is out rack is out new rear shox lots more to do ,
intake refresh without PC may also happen since the PC is not peeling. a spray bomb might work for the coating.
Front PU is done and needs to be stripped to its base hood and roof have lots of small dents from hail the fenders dont.
I like the idea of swapping in a fresh caramel carpet and I have a set

"Watching" you work is like viewing time lapse film, at 12X normal speed or something. That means you can own 12 cars!

update the intake is off and sent to Powder coating as well as the cam covers. one small hit with the ratchet and a big chunk of PC chipped off and sealed the fate of the intake.

I am waiting for Hans motor mounts.
.
Then the front shocks, MMs and OPG will get done,
the clutch is in,
as well as the new SS brake lines rear shocks and the GB flex line for the slave.

An interesting side note someone adjusted the clutch MC so that the pedal push rod would not be released fully,
this let the fluid swell and then the clutch would slip.

a few turns in, and all is well.

NOW for the big news the carpets are getting swapped out,
it looks like a full week to make this change,
\ I am using the Mercedes thick felt carpet material its very hard to work with and a few areas are not great.
but its all one color and smells like fresh adhesive .
I have one more door panel to swap here are a few pictures.

I decided to do some color changes to the cam covers and the intake,
I really like the colors now.
The powder coater place filled in the letters and then cooked the covers,
look at this...... WOW
