I always think it is a shame when another one needs to be put down. It is gratifying, however, to see them quickly and completely recycled. There are millions of domestic and foreign cars that get crushed while full of useful parts because there is such an abundance of them.

I remember a poster of a motorcycle junkyard piled high with carcasses, the caption reading, "Can you see the Harley in this picture?". In fine print underneath it read, "of course not".

Same idea here.
