34 years old. I was introduced to 928s at age 3 when my Dad bought his first in 1985 through Porsche new. This is our second 928 we had purchased when I was 19 years old. He got tired of it and sold the car to me to buy a 1970 Camaro SS with a BBC.

At this point it's not the age so much as the mileage and the wear-and-tear factors. The car is younger, cleaner, healthier, in better condition overall and for sure fewer miles than the owner. I should have been as religious about my own maintenance I guess.
I was hatched in the early 1950's, for those who really care. As this thread ages, number of years will similarly age.

33 yrs old. Bought my first 928 when I was 18. Wrenching to driving ratio was about 10:1 back then on that '78. On my 3rd 928 now, also '78, and I've managed to increase my ratio to about 8:1. My second 928 ran much too well, so I just had to sell it
Only recently joined here, wish I would have found this place years ago. Makes 928 ownership a lot more fun and definitely more manageable.

In 3 days I turn 70. (OMG! Am i really that old?) Got my '83 Euro about 5 years ago. Going to drive it to my 50th H.S Reunion. As for when you get "old enough to know better",That varies, but if you make it thru that, you get to "Old enough to know better, but just don't care--follow all the rules, you miss all they fun." I'll be there in 3 days..
