So my settings motor and linkage is working just fine, as it turns out. I took off the glovebox and you can easily observe it operating from that side. So I loosened the screw there, clamped everything together tightly and re-tightened it. Then I zip-tied my heater core...and then I charged it, as it was a little low. Then no compressor :-( but all was not lost, the connection at my freeze switch is a little loose. I wiggled that and it fixed it, but I need to tighten that up. But the AC is blowing colder than it ever has now. I'm not sure it's "blowing ice cubes" exactly...but I had to turn the fan down to low today, because it was too cold. I can't remember the last time that happened!
