1986 exhaust question
#4
Correct it's not 86.5, 86.5 has two resonators and only joins at rear muffler, it goes around battery box like an S4, an 86.5 has an S4 body shell.
What do u want for the cats back section?
Thanks,

FYI.. The CATs should bring you 150 to 200 at your local metal recycler.
I'm interested in the section(s) after the cats as it would save me some "construction" time
Broken down it may not be all that big (long) to ship.
Shoot me a price.
Thanks!

Tis true Don, sold a rusty one several months ago
Mark, I think we've established that its not an 86.5, and its had the common resonator removed, agreed looks like a Borla muffler from that pic.
Still awaiting on a $ for the CAT back pipes

generally speaking the cats dont have corrosion issues atleast the sets I have seen,
they might look dingy but the metal they are made from is from the armor from the Tiger tanks,
so you know it will last

"Armor from the Tiger tanks ! " OMG now that is SOLID ! Tiger 1 and 2 (King Tiger) tanks my favorites.

Mine was run straight up a vertical curb, avoiding a t-bone last year. Made an awful scrapey noise backing off the curb. Damage was limited to a demolished front spoiler and alignment. Just one of many truth-to-urban legends. Seems like it would take an "88" to knock one of these out.
