In the past I have been able to separate the ring from the rest of the stock speaker. It is glued on.

Yes, they do cut out of the rings pretty easily (if patient).

Would someone be able to send me the file for this mounting ring? I just bought a 86.5 that's missing one of the 4" door speakers. I found a grill but need the ring to mount it.
