I wish I had a clearer understanding
of the parts that should and should not be subjected to the ol' machine shop "nuclear cleaning machine"..... for instance (and certainly not to hijack the thread) there was a recent thread of some 928 pistons that went into a cleaner and had the functional surfaces seriously degraded...

just gentle cleaning with rags and soap and you should be fine. i mean, what are really trying to do??
