Sorry Vanster. That was a beautiful car and you really had your hands full with it since you got it. May be a blessing in disguise. It's still hard to look at that.

The question now i what to do with it? The interior is perfect including the dash.
What happens to the motor in a situation like this? I'm not going to part it out myself as I don't have the time nor the space to do it. The motor has 290hp at the rear wheels and that was only at 4500 rpm
Now it has about 6000 miles on it. Everything was new, clutch, motor mounts etc.

That is suspiciously in the power steering area. Do you know if those lines were original?

Maybe someone with a really nice shell would want the interior and drivetrain for a transplant?

There was small leak in the power steering unit. I was keeping an eye on it.

After the insurance people look at it I think i will power wash the engine bay so we can see what we have left that we can salvage. I feel bad for GB since he put so much work into it.

Stupid question.... but is an event like this repairable or are there just too many issues to contend with after a fire?

Ahh ****! That is awful. Is this the BaT car? Unbelievable. So sorry about that. Did you have an extinguisher on hand or was the fire too out of control?

If you eventually go down the part out route, I can help you out by buying some of the parts. But I hope it can be rebuilt! Good luck. Hope the insurance company comes through for you.

It's the BAT car, interesting that I am still having a problem with DMV regarding registration. Won't have to deal with them any more now
