O2 Sensor Clearance Issue
While installing the Bosch O2 Sensor in the X-Pipe after replacing my motor mounts I had to remove the heat shield in order to not have the wires smashed up against the underside.
Is this a common problem with this setup? How much, and how quickly, do the motor mounts settle after installation?
Is there a shorter O2 Sensor available?
I have the non OEM motor mounts from Roger. The installation was pretty straight foreword.

Something doesn't look quite right to me and I'm the one that makes them...
You could try loosening the three bolts that attach that side of the "X" to the header and pull down while re-tightening and see if that helps some. Your new motormounts may have something to do with it because this is the first time I have heard about one this bad. Bending the heat shield is usually the most anyone has had to do.
I try to put the O2 sensor just above the centerline of the pipe but that one looks a lot higher than that. If we need to get you a replacement, just let me know and I will get you taken care of.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your reply. Before I changed out the motor mounts the clearance was fine. But the new MM's did raise the engine a full inch.
I had less than 100 miles on the new MM's when I took that picture. I'm hoping they will settle a 1/4" fairly quickly because that is all it really needs for me to get that heat shield back on. For now I'm going to watch it closely and hopefully things will work out. If not I will get in touch with you.
Can anyone else speak to how fast these MM's squish down a little bit?
