Thanks, Mark Anderson, for putting this on again. It has been great fun to see everyone and the cars, and hear the latest tales from the 928 wrenchers. Also, thanks Greg, Jim, and Bill for checking the steering of my shiny object.

Funny how things sometimes come together: I had been traveling with the 928 for a week, visiting clients in San Diego and Irvine. Since I book my hotels through hotels.com, I did not realize I booked the wrong Embassy Suites. But as luck had it, there was a mall next-door, and the mall had a full-service auto detailing company in one of the parking garages. So, instead of just getting the car washed, I had them do a full exterior detail. They did an awesome job, and made the paint look better than ever!

Ironically, it stayed relatively clean until I entered the Bay Area. But this time, the "wash" was free...

It was a great time, including the Friday night spent in the local ER.

Nicole, too bad that beautiful detail job got abused by the dust storm and rain on the way home. Be sure to shake out if not replace your air filter after all the debris blown up in the dust storms. I hit 3 or 4 large tumble weeds on I-5. Tumble weeds in California?! The drought over the last several years has decimated the central valley, turning it into a dust bowl area. Tragic.

Everybody -MORE PICS FROM SHARKTOBERFEST!! Come on, George!

Thanks to everyone involved in getting this event going. I enjoyed meeting all of you and seeing your cars.

Did your carwash look like mine?

Following Bill on 580.

The Breakfast Club sun morning at host hotel. Had a couple of hours to kill on Sun so Brian dropped me at the Peterson Museum in LA. Ooh-la-la. Thanks again to the event organizers and great to see everyone again. T

I left LAX after dropping off Gretchen (daughter) for Seattle at 6:30 am Sunday. The rain started at Gilroy hiway 152 and continued 75 miles north from California/Oregon border. I had no traction for 200 plus miles which really slowed me down. I still entered my driveway at 11:30 pm Sunday evening for a 17.5 hour 1,150 mile 928 experience. It helps to have a brand new windshield. Thank you Gabriel for the great service and job, no leaks and way less wind noise.

I also want to thank Mark Anderson and family for the wonderful Sharktoberfest, the BBq and all the parts that were readily available for my car.

Saturday dinner arranged with the help of Mark W. and wife was perfect to end my weekend.

Great to see you and Gretchen again, Thomas! And glad you made it home in one piece.

Bill: Thanks for the reminder! I'll have to do this soon!

George: It was at least as bad. Traffic slowed to a crawl, because we could not see anything. Wipers on fast was not enough.

I had an outstanding time! Thanks to everyone who helped put this together. It was great to meet so many wonderful and helpful people. The cars were awesome too! This was my first time and I'm definitely planning on coming back. The only down side was that due to my timing constraints I had to fly instead of drive. I will try to plan better next year!

Thanks to Mark for his hospitality and allowing us to dig through all of his inventory. I believe I found a lot more than I thought I would. Although I'm not sure I want to know what the shipping charges are going to be.

I really hope to have the pleasure of seeing everyone again soon.

A few of us finished off the night Oktoberfest style!
